To upload a static carousel as a personalized ad, you will need to fill out a few fields. Here we explain each one of them to you so that you’ll know how to fill them out.

First, we give you an example so that each one of the fields can be understood.

1 – In the primary text, there should be a general description of all the products that will show up in the carousel. The maximum is 500 characters, but we recommend up to 125 because if not, to keep reading, you will have to click on “see more”.

In the example, this is in green

2 – The link should be the one that all the ad’s generic links will redirect to. Think about the products you are uploading in order to choose the URL that is the most relevant.

3 – The time has come to upload the creatives. We recommend a video, as it will always have better results, but it can also be an image.

The sizes need to be:

Videos

  • Aspect: 1:1

  • Resolution: Greater or equal to 1080x1080 pixels

  • Duration: Less than 20 seconds

Images

  • Aspect: 1:1

  • Resolution: Greater or equal to 1080x1080 pixels

  • Text on the image: 20% or less

4 – In this case, you will need to complete the title, description, and link for each one of the images that are uploaded.

The title can have a maximum of 100 characters, but we recommend it have 25 because if not, it will be shown with ellipsis.

In the example, this is in violet

The description has a maximum of 100 and recommended length of 30 characters. This is an additional text and it will not appear in the Instagram posts.

In the example, this is in fuchsia

As far as the link goes, you should choose a specific url to which people who click on the image will be directed. This means that if you’re showing a product, you should enter the URL that directs you to the same one.

👀 BEWARE! The title, description, and this last link we discussed are only for that image. Each image that you upload for the static carousel will have its own title, its description, and it will get the specific link that you’ve added.

5 - You have the possibility of scheduling the ads. This means that the ad can run always (choose the always active option) or between dates of your choosing (scheduled).

📌Clarification: the date range is inclusive. This means that the days selected are included in the period during which the ad will be shown.

6 – Last, in Advanced Operations, you should choose what audience you want to show the ad to.

You can choose just one or all.

This option allows you to upload different creatives for different audience segments. This means we can reach out and communicate with the new audiences that have never been on the site, showing them in a more generic way what your items for sale are about, and we can reach those who already know your site with a different approach, as well as those who have already purchased.

❗️Attention: If you don’t have a different creative for each audience, we recommend you leave all the options checked in order to maximize your ad reach.

Now, you’ve finished your static carousel configuration!

You can preview it in order to make sure that everything ended up just as you wanted and then click on the confirm button to create it. The preview will show you an example of what will be seen on Instagram.

👉The preview may take a few minutes to generate. We ask you for a little patience😊
